What to expect from this program

I have designed the Foundation programme to get you started on your fitness journey. You may choose to complete the programme as an aid to managing pain and to promote mobility. Alternatively, you could use the programme to build skills and confidence before attending live or zoom classes.

Completion of the programme will

  • Support rehabilitation from injury
  • Support achievement in other sports/ exercise programmes
  • Teach movements which can release muscle stiffness and tension from the body
  • Help reduce chronic pain and thereby support pain management
  • Promote confidence and ability to perform every day activities
  • Reduce risk of accidents and injury
  • Build skills and strength to take training to the next level

Exercises to promote full body mobility are followed by exercises that target specific joints and movement patterns. There are also brain based exercises which are designed to build brain pathways. In addition, the programme includes ways to identify and overcome possible muscular skeletal issues influencing wellbeing. Sometimes we only need to look at ourselves through a fresh set of eyes to reap benefits.


The tools for an amazingly healthy body?

The lessons are divided into 5 units. All are designed to help you get to know your body.

  1. Optimal breathing. We teach you how to breath properly through your diaphragm to help promote greater abdominal muscle recruitment to gain greater core stability and movement through the torso. This also helps with anxiety and stress.
  2. Basic movements. To help you identify where areas may be tight, aching, painful so you are aware of how your body is reacting to movement.
  3. Rehabilitation. Work on specific problems or areas to alleviate aches and tightness
  4. Movement breakdown. We take a look at and break down some of the more specific movement patterns and exercises you'll need as you get stronger and confident in new movement patterns.
  5. The classes. Now you should be feeling pretty confident in your body to tackle classes. There are 4 classes for you to work through + a BONUS mindful movement class.Write your text here

Why Strength in Movement?

Strength in Movement is simply that: the strength to move in order to reduce risk and perform every day activities, right through to maximising sports performance.

I started my UK business to help my mum who has lived with chronic back pain all her life. No amount of traction, pills or interventions helped and she wanted to avoid surgery at all costs. Fast-forward fifteen years and at 75 years old, my mum is one of my strongest clients and a great role model to others. She even climbed Mount Snowdon aged 72, with no ill effects!
